Pretty sure thing Legacy members get in right away. I just don't see a point to really doing much in it at all aside from poking around for a day seeing what everything looks like. xD Yeah testing but that just gets old and boring fast, esp since we're going to have to do it... 3 times before it saves lol
I used to be like that in XI, but once you get to the point where ya have done everything it's just meh. That and my hubby and I couldn't find a LS that we clicked with that was up to or even close to our standards our server and didn't wanna waste money on a transfer. We went to 2 other servers and always ended up back on phoenix anyway. Same shit everywhere! xD

Yeah, 11 has changed quite a bit since the abyssea expansion and what not 
I will probably end up doing just that, play for a few days then stop xD its kind of defeating when you know all the work you put into the character is going to be erased :/
