I had actually taken about a 3 year hiatus after my son was born. Most the stuff I posted on DA was old or just a random artwork here and there. And when I picked art back up, my skill had increased by tenfold! I think it has a lot to do with watching my bf's art and techniques. He's taught me a lot. Now I take more time with my art and put more effort into the thought, creation and process. So your 5/6 years, it may surprise you to see you have matured in that time and gotten better. They say practice makes perfect, but sometimes it's just getting older and wiser that makes the difference ;D

3 years is quite a long time as well! Haha.
I'm not even gonna bother posting my old stuff that I drew back then, I rather wanna keep fresh stuff on here(which is nothing yet)
Plus my skill won't be increased, probably worse and I have to pick it up again. (New arm, 50% metal - very long story)

But I made a first step.. re-installed Photoshop and connected Natty's tablet. So this will be my first time trying to make digital drawings instead of pencil/paper

Yeah I am indeed, and sometimes it really sucks. But what can we do, eh.
I'm entering a competition on DA soon, will be photoshop though, nothing to do with actual drawing.

You're right though, even the small things are worth it

She was feeling horrible. Inner ear infection and burst eardrum. So I picked her up from uni and had her at my place for a few days.. hence she hasn't been active that much before. But she is back in uni again so.. it should be going a bit better now.

Oh noes, I hope she is feeling better, that sounds horrible. Is her hearing alright? I've never had an ear infection before, and didn't realize it could actually bust your ear drum! My bf would get those and as soon as he feels one coming on he is in the Dr's office getting a shot. Tell her hellos from me.
