Heya, I kinda came back again last week and I'm trying to reconnect with people I use to talk to/watch/collaborate/stalk etc   but it seems many of my close friends aren't around anymore and the community, although bigger, seems... quieter? If that makes sense? Or maybe it's just me after being away for so long

I'm at home, trying to stay away from all the madness that's going on. How about you?

Oh i just checked Behance and now I see why would artists want to be there instead

What I liked about dA, not being a proper artist myself, was the community feel this place had, which is why I came back.

I bet those doggy walks help a lot!

I use it maybe 2% of the time - it's easier to return the llamas, but other than that, no thank you. I especially dislike the enormous profile header. I don't see the point in switching to another interface when you can just improve the existing one with what I'm sure is far less effort and resources.

An update, sure, I have nothing against that (if you're referring to the old-old green, I remember that, it wasn't great), but when you lose functionality over design, that's a big problem.

I don't know if this is just me not knowing how to use the new version yet, but I can't hide comments or choose what exactly to watch from the artist's profile like with the old "watch" button, and I honestly don't care all that much for the front page. But I'm trying to get accustomed to Eclipse, even though it loads for longer than the old one. And maybe there's more missing in groups, but I'm not administering one so I wouldn't know.

And don't even get me started on the app, because I can't even log in it.

Oh I never bothered with the app XD I'm of the opinion that your mobile site should be good enough that you don't NEED an app! An app is only useful for the user if they want the push notifications.

I've just switched back to old DA and... you're right. I actually prefer it XD

I've tried to use Eclipse since we talked but I had to switch back, there's just no way I can be expected to wait for a page to load for that long.

I don't like the notification center for the comments/replies - why is there a need to say I've replied successfully and then when that small notification goes away it screws up the other reply I'm working on, causing my click to go (in most cases) on the user's name, which then leads me to their profile, which then means I have to wait a bunch until I'm even allowed to go back cause the pages load so fricking hard. Although, I have to say, I like a lot that they included a preview of the original comment. I also find it easier to return llamas while using Eclipse.

One other thing I don't like is the use of emoticons by typing them - sometimes they show, up, sometimes they don't.

I would also like it if I could have the option to disable receiving activity messages when someone likes my comment. I don't care! It's just clutter in my inbox.

I don't like the Notes page either.

And one of the biggest things that bothers me - and maybe there's a way to do it but I haven't figured it out - is that I can't sort my messages by oldest first
