# About me
Life is exhausting both emotionally and physically - nothing washes away your stresses like sitting in front of a canvas and throwing around vibrant colors with absolutely incredible textures. I have found that it can add so much to every aspect of my life. I now find myself standing in the parking lot leaving the office staring up at the sky like an idiot for I don't know how long - just amazed with how the light behaves while passing through various layers of clouds.I started painting a bit over a year ago - after one immensely aggravating day at work I stopped at the local art store of choice (Sam Flax in my case) and ended up staying there until after they closed speaking with a man who spent most of his life in Italy and just recently moved to the States. He spoke with such passion about painting that I really couldn't leave the store without the required tools to make my go at it.
I can't thank him enough for opening my eyes.
