Though the trains don't run here anymore,
I sometimes feel I've been here before.
Running straight down life's railroad track,
Trying my best at not looking back.
Trying to forget, my heartbreaks of the past,
Dwelling on relationships, I knew would never last.
Living in a fantasy, blinded by attraction,
Only to find misery and grief as a reaction.
Will I ever find love, one true and not a lie,
Or will I remain virgin, till the day that I die?
Lost ever to time, are my younger past years.
Growing older and timeworn, enhances my fears.
I know it isn't easy, but try to be optimistic. Hopefully, things will get better. I'll be praying for you.
