# About me
I have lived most of my life in Oregon and prefer to be called Sunny. I have an Associate Of Applied Science Degree in Graphic Design and I have been a sign painter for 21 years.I have volunteered for places such as The Cottage Grove Friends of the Carousel and The Florence Area Humane Society. During the time I was involved with the carousel project, I restored a carousel horse to go on the carousel when finished and taught interested members of the community on restoring and painting this original Hershel Spilman Carousel donated to Cottage Grove, Oregon. My artwork was selected to be used
as a commemorative collection stamp honoring the Heceta Head Lighthouse going back in to service.
Being an animal lover, I have donated my time to help the less fortunate animals at the Florence Area Humane Society. I also created Cancer Warriors Roving Poker Run 2009 for the American Cancers Relay for life and raised $1214.00 to help find cures.
I call myself "Coast Dependentβ because of my love for the coast, motorcycles, animals in general and my artistic endeavors range widely. I am interested in marine biology and cetaceans (whales), which comes through in my art. I am a biker who loves the lifestyle and ride my own motorcycle.
I work on pen illustrations with various pens and the papers used in my artwork are archival. All soapstone is carved by hand no motorized tools were used except a Dremel tool for polishing. The stone comes from Grants Pass, Oregon and the mines no longer exist..
My fine art history and diverse talents, range widely, from Airbrush Painting, Oil Painting, Watercolor, Pen and Ink Illustrations, Printmaking, Drawing, Glass Etching, Wood Carving, Pyrographics, and Soapstone Carving. I enjoy working with and experimenting in a lot of different mediums. Though I have not shown my work in a few years, I am an art gallery owner with a passion for art and consider myself a fine artist and graphic artist. Well since i been homeless (without a home) and living in a dungeon almost a year iΒ finally amΒ making Florence, Oregon my for ever home and its got a studio and carving studio, i cant wait to stop fixin the house up to start creating.
