I just tried to draw a dude with a reference from a cute boy x boy sketch on my phone. However, as I further sketched the muscles, neck, nose, and everything from waist up, I found myself staring at the head. Then I suddenly said: "Oh my god, it looks like Megamind's head!" and I quickly erased to try and correct it, haha!

Haha! If you're interested in drawing people, I suggest starting from the inside out. There are plenty of tutorials here but basically it amounts to practicing drawing shapes first, so you can get the proportions and positioning right ;) (Wink)

I want to draw realism, semi-realism, and anime. Those ideas would be a great way to start up again. I can finally start drawing again- especially males. I didn't draw them back then, but now I'm up for it.

I actually just hit my 8th year anniversary with that ID back in March. I'm supremely lucky that did it for me (though I think the original, larger version may be lost to time by this point). It's me trying to get creative and getting "help" from several of my characters. The one on my head is Danyael (unicorn), the one over my shoulder is Chet (husky/horse), the one holding the pencil is Acinonyx (black cheetah), and the kitty with wings is one of my angel kitties, Kemokasumi Nekoninja.

And yay about the book! My son asks me to read to him about Shard every night.
