# About me
I am still new to DA, so please bare over with me.I have always had a strong connection to the hidden worlds living side by side with our own known reality. I call them Alderworlds. After having my hand injured in an accident when I was just about ready to go to art school, I thought for a long time, I couldn't pursue my dream of being an artist. In 2011 life happened and my inner artist demanded her right to come out. One day I started to sculpt one of the creatures I know from the Alderworlds, and that is what I have been doing since.
More often than not it is the Alderworlders who decide to let me sculpt them and I comply ;-)
I do not have any "proper" education in what I do, but a year into my new path I was lucky enough to join a one week masterclass with Wendy Froud at an old castle in France. I met some amazing people, and got the encouragment I needed to pursue my dream of making fantasy art. More often than not, I still feel not good enough, but then again it keeps me wanting to learn more and I experiment all the time with new stuff.

I really like your sculptures, they have a very enchanting quality to them and all seem to have unique personalities. Plus - lucky you to have had the chance to learn from one of the Frouds - it was their puppet work in films like Labyrinth that first inspired me to sculpt

Actually to be quite honest, often I do feel that I am just a channel. When I sculpt my sculpts tend to have a mind of their own telling me how they want to look like. So Somehow I feel their are real energies behind the sculpts adn I agree they all have their distinct personalities.

Thank you! Mark called me, he was trying to take photos himself and doing it in front of a green screen and it was taking hours and they still were not looking all that great and asked if I could help. He is a great puppeteer and does amazing funny stuff with his custom made puppets. I told him the second his hand comes out of them they loose their "life". We set a date and time and I started researching the best place to take photos. Most people when you talk about puppets automatically think Muppets and Muppet Show. I found an old theater in Downtown Montgomery called the Davis Theater. I was hoping we could get inside but we couldn't. We took all the photos outside the theater to help give the photos a theatrical appearance. We did the photos like I would with a model. Kept asking him to change expressions, try different positions and mood. Thanks again for liking my work and I love your work. Hope you have a great week.

Must have been a great photoshoot!
I have myself a little bit experience of photoshoots with dolls/puppets, since some of mine are part of a children's book and the photographer doing the shoots together with me, told me afterwards that it took a totally different thinking than working with humans, because the background can look overwhelming, too big or just wrong for dolls/puppets.
So, great job, the puppets look totally right in their environment and as said, very lifelike
