Thanks. I've been doing the same poop, I also had a kitten.. But it turned into something else, it really doesn't like me but I don't know. It will follow me and stare at me, and attack my feet when I walk by but when I hold it or touch it then it starts hissing at me and biting me and growling.

I am hoping to move shortly.. PHP seems too hard but it can get you really far in the business world. Unfortunately numbers haven't been my thing - neither has sequences and codes.. It's another language.

I seriously haven't talked to many people in a while, things are a bit weird. You look like you're getting better with vectors and stuff so I wish you luck with all that, I'm not so good with them still.. I'm a livetrace whore.

Isn't the attacking normal? Mine does that too but he attacks my face and eyes instead of my feet. They're funny little creatures.
Are you moving away from the fire state?

PHP is very easy. I found it easier than learning CSS. Not sure why you associate it with numbers. You should really learn it, it's so much fun.
Oh and don't say you're not so good with vectors, you're very good! Have you considered selling at sites like graphicriver?

I understand the attacking is normal and it's entertaining but I can't pet him or else he turns into a monster.

No I am moving out of my parent's house, that's about it. Love me some flaming california, It's cold these days not as many fires.

I've looked at PHP and had to deal with some horrifying script trying to get my wordpress site and it's plugins and other sites running smoothly is just a nightmare, there are alot of different paths to go when it comes to PHP whether it's basic forms, creating a blog but the worst has to be PHP with a database.. It scares me.

And FINALLY, I am not good with vectors. My vectoring skills are shit, I can't make decent shapes and tracing something isn't fun. Also logos I still suck at and that's the hardest part coming up with simple shapes for a logo... I don't want to bother with vector stock sites because you only get like 1/4th of the royalties.. And even if your stuff was popular you'd only make a couple hundred bucks a month. I know for a fact what I'd be doing wouldn't be popular since my free vectors aren't very popular lol.

My sister called me and said her cat swallowed something and they need xrays and surgery or else she has to put it to sleep and they don't have any money and she wants me to co-sign for a small plan. It's a shitty situation, both her credit and her cat. They don't take very good care of their animals.

Sorry to hear that. What did the cat swallow? Are they sure it won't come out naturally? I wouldn't co-sign though. That never leads to any good.. (been watching too much Judge Judy since you mentioned her).

I was against sharing the royalties too but I'm considering doing it anyway. It could be a good way to get your name out there.

Oh and PHP along with databases is the most fun of all! If you need any help getting things to run smoothly, let me know.

:sigh: Turns out the cat had gas, she got xrays done. Apparently the cat didn't even swallow anything and the vet honestly didn't know what she was looking at in the xrays. It was really weird, she said common sense like "You can see there is some irregularity in this area but we are not sure what that is, it is suspicious but it could be nothing but still suspicious" it's like yeah, great..

Sharing royalties is a pain in the ass!! That's why I avoid doing stock stuff, I mean that and I love to use available resources.. It's against myfonts.com terms to submit a font that you did not create 100% from scratch so the fonts that use pre-existing fonts are no good and of course they have been the most popular ones..

I know you're sort of against doing that and you've always expressed your disconcern for some of the stuff I do that isn't completely original but I mean I do it because I like it.. Having something and turning it into your own can be magical plus when I first started doing it I didn't even think it was a problem because a lot of other people were doing it, I am starting to do my own fonts more and more though! I also sort of took your advice and continued making more and more fonts to get a little bit of money for my bills and I can honestly say it's working pretty well, I mean last month I only got 200 but before that I got like almost 1k I think which still sucked because it all went to bills since I barely had any projects to do.

Doing freelance is really dangerous and I honestly don't know how I am able to pay my monthly bills, just this month i had to borrow 160.00 from my sister to pay my car insurance. But in all fairness I spent 190.00 on her bday present which were UGG boots.

I miss having people to talk to and I apologize for ranting, I don't get along very well with ANYONE on deviantart.. Everyone's so serious it's hard to make friends.

Wow glad everything's ok with the cat!

I've learned to accept the use of resources.
What you do with fonts requires real talent. Back then I was so
angry at the whole design industry and how it were always the people
who used resources in logo design contests that weren't even allowed to
be used in logos who won that I wanted to disapprove everything
that wasn't 100% original.. but that didn't really make any sense.
Glad to hear that it's going well with your fonts. Aren't you concerned
that the majority will still use them for commercial purposes without
buying a license?

Have you thought about doing affiliate marketing along with freelancing?
It's not as much fun but apparently it pays very well.
Consider watching [link] that usually helps me stay motivated.

I don't mind the ranting, I like having someone to talk to. It's not something I do very often..
Are people here at DA really that serious? Over at the forum it looks like everyone is friendly and fun.

That video.. Doesn't exactly motivate me when the first thing it says it "Men are Stupid" and I don't know if can handle 31 minutes of that voice, but I will save it for tomorrow and check it out.
