Spaaaaaaarky I have a history question because quite frankly I'm curious. How do you guys learn about the American Revolution and the war of 1812 and everything and such? My history professor says that you guys think that we were super ungrateful and traitorous and I'm just curious to see how you actually learned it.

I learnt bits and pieces but I didn't take history as a subject so only really have minimal knowledge of the matter. I think it would depend on the teacher though. The Boston Tea Party caused the entire thing to kick off because Britain tried taxing America and then begun the fight for independence. I don't remember too much about it honestly since I sucked at history XD! I was never taught the Americans were any sort of ungrateful or traitorous but I'm sure there are probably teachers that would teach as much.Β

I'm just curious because my World Lit professor said she had a student that went to do some student teaching in the great land of tea-drinkers (meaning, England xD) and the teacher kind of made it seem like America was seen as ungrateful. I didn't think everybody in England thought that, but I wanted to satisfy my curiosity.

Just curious to know how you guys, in your schools, covered things like the British conquering like almost the while world and all its colonies and then everywhere getting independence (*cough*like the Boston tea party*cough*)

Honestly? History was one of my worst subjects so I didn't take it any further than mandatory and we mainly focused on the World Wars. So I'm sorry if I can't help too much but I don't really know much about it. It probably seems pretty terrible that I don't know British history but I've always struggled with subjects like it XD You might be better asking someone like Reaper. I'll try to find someone else who might be able to give you a better stand point.
Personally though I think it depends on who you ask. Some people view the matter differently than others.

I mean, it's not that big a deal xD I'm just curious. Seeing other people's viewpoints, you know. Like, Riddle and I have gone pretty in depth regarding WWII, and I just kind of thought 'how do the brits cover stuff like the American revolution??" So yeah. And yes, the Tea Party was the straw the broke the camel's back and set off the American Revolution.
