Hey i was wondering if you are active here anymore?
Saw some comission of yours of a character in okami style.
I was wondering if you are taking comissions for such things?
And sorry for my bad English but it's not my native language...

Hello I still come on here but I haven't really drawn much recently -- I've been so busy @_@ Typically when I do find time for art, it's digital but I have been wanting to do some traditional work. Which picture of mine were you looking at? Maybe I can draw something for you when I have some spare time. I'm just worried that it won't look very good since it's been so long haha
And your English isn't bad~ It's very good! I see you are from Germany? That's really cool. I hope to travel more one day - maybe I will be able to visit Germany sometime in the future

Thanks for the response :3 it was this picture
vantid.deviantart.com/art/Shio…
And you were linked in the desciption sooo...
It would be awesome. I'm dreaming of a picture of my fursona in this style *-* and yi don't care if it's traditional or digital :3
Maybe you could sent me a note when you think youll have time? :3
Yeah i like germany and living here :3 one of my favorite cities is Hamburg. It's worth a visit ;3 Berlin is nice too but personally i don't like it very much because the city is too big for me o.o
Or did i understand the drawing wrong and it was a comission for you not from you? That would be a bit embarrassing

Ahaha it was a commission for me that was drawn by vantid I love that picture - definitely one of my favorites. It looks like vantid has submitted some art at the end of 2014 so maybe she is still active on here? You should try messaging her
I searched for some pictures of Hamburg - looks beautiful! Would love to take a trip there someday...if I can somehow get the money haha There are so many places I would love to go but not enough time or money to visit all of them!
Are there any countries you would like to visit or have visited already?

Fuzzypluff In reply to ShioriOokami [2015-02-07 11:13:44 +0000 UTC]
Yeah... Found it out later...
I wrote her a note but for now she's not open for comissions she said to me.
But it costs pretty much For now i haven't got the money...
So maybe it's good that she's closed for comissions
What I like in Hamburg is that it's a very big city like Berlin too, but you get it faster to know.
The part where all the shops are is not small, but next to each other.
So you have one whole part for shopping and it's clearer than Berlin.
I was once in Texas, because I have family there. But I was 3 or 4 years old so I don't remember much.
And because I'm polish I'm often in Poland too
My dream places are Ireland and Canada
Ireland for the wide and green meadows and the old castles etc.
And I want to visit the Yukon badly. I once found an exchance program for students where you could work at a
husky farm in the Yukon for like 1-3 months
But now I haven't got the time

I would love to go to Ireland one day. My friend studied abroad there and the pictures she took of her time there were absolutely gorgeous~
And don't give up! Maybe you don't have time now - but perhaps you can do the exchange program in the future

Hey! I don't know if you remember me (especially since I haven't been on here in forever). But I saw that you were thinking about going to Nagoya for college this upcoming fall. Is that still true? Because I'm going to Tsukuba!!! I think it's awesome that we kept our common interests during all of this time!! ^^

ShioriOokami In reply to Emi-Hikari [2012-03-18 01:24:08 +0000 UTC]
Hey! I do remember you~ ^^ Its been a while haha
Well, I wanted to go to Nagoya in the fall, but [long story short] then I would be behind and would have to stay in college atleast another year to complete everything to graduate. So Im actually going to study abroad in Tokyo this coming summer - or atleast I hope so I have a conditional acceptance right now but my adviser said that as long as I dont fail any of my classes, I should be fine.
So when exactly are you gonna be Tsukuba? Ive never been there before, actually. Are you doing an abroad program through school or are you going just to visit? Im gonna be in Japan from the end of May until the middle of July We'll be a home stay first in a different city for about a week and then we'll be in Shibuya the rest of the time.
It is pretty cool that we still have our common interests after all this time Maybe we could share our experiences of our time in Japan with each other through DA or even facebook if you want
Its nice to hear from you again!

Emi-Hikari In reply to ShioriOokami [2012-03-23 18:56:54 +0000 UTC]
Yeahhhhh, it's definitely been a while. haha
Well, that's still awesome that you get to go to Tokyo!! Which university are you going to? I have several friends going to several different ones--maybe you'll meet them. XD
I leave for Tsukuba in August and will be staying there for 11 months. And I can do a study abroad program pretty easily since Japanese is my major...hehehe.
Still, two months in itself sounds exciting, especially the home-stay part!!
Haha, it's pretty amazing who you can meet on sites like these! I won't be using DA much (I assume, based on my current track record OTL), but if you want to add me as a friend on facebook, that's fine!! I also use twitter a lot (probably more than facebook); my username is KimJulieang. ^^
I'm glad to see you're still keeping up on art!! I hope you're enjoying it!!

I'll actually be studying at the National Olympic Memorial Youth Center - it's a pretty cool place - it's where the athletes stayed during the Olympics and its in Shibuya apparently 15 minutes [walking] from Harajuku. The homestay is gonna be during the second week and its in Mobara. And we'll also be going on field trips to various places, of course. Im super excited~
My major is actually Asian Studies but I hope to have a minor in Japanese eventually. I want to become a translator one day
I followed you on twitter but I actually dont go on mine too much Ill send you a message with the link to my facebook I use that more often than twitter and Ill probably post pictures from Japan on it too~ Ive never been to Tsukuba though - are you going to post pictures? I would love to see them

WHOOOOAAAAAA!!!
I am SUPER jealous!!! That sounds so amazing!!! And so close to Harajuku T^T ...that's so wonderful!! I think you'll have a lot of fun
Hahaha my other major is Asian Studies, and I also want to be a translator! *hi-fives you*
I added you on facebook and twitter as well! ^_^ And I will definitely post pictures. Actually, there are two guys at my school right now who are exchange students from Tsukuba, so I'll be following them back next year!
And since I'm going to be there so long, I'm thinking I'll set up a youtube channel and record my excursions. XD
Have you ever been to Japan before? I'm kind of nervous about....jetlag... ehehe.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
ShioriOokami In reply to Emi-Hikari [2012-03-24 13:58:58 +0000 UTC]
I was gonna double-major in Asian Studies and Japanese but since I transferred from a different school, I dont really have time to complete both and it would have put me even more behind [Thats also the reason Im studying in the there in the summer. Im already staying an extra semester to finish up everything to graduate]. Sooo I just decided to minor in Japanese instead
LOL its amazing how much in common we have xD Translator ftw!! *hi-fives back* and that would be awesome if you set up a youtube channel~
Ive been there before for an 11-day trip with my high school class aboouut...3 years ago, I think. We went to places like Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Miyajima and Kyoto [I loooove Kyoto :heart]. It was a lot of fun and ever since I came back [which was really a sad time lol] Ive been craving okonomiyaki xDDD Soooo gooood~
I dont remember if I experienced too much jetlag...for some reason, I dont think I did. In our orientation they said try not to sleep too much on the way over because youll be arriving in the afternoon. But you should sleep alot on the way back.

Ahh, see, Asian Studies is my secondary major--I couldn't have majored in it without Japanese being my major first. It's really easy to tag it on. But the downside is that the Asian Studies program gets shafted a lot. They even dropped the Korean language program.
But still, we have the best majors ever! hahaha!!
Eeeeeek OKONOMIYAKI IS SO GOOD. Agh, I am so jealous. What was it like? This is the first time for me.
I'm hoping to get a flight straight there since it's cheaper, but it might be better to have connecting flights so that I stay awake. But either way, I'm super excited. You're so lucky that you've gotten to go before! Is that what made you want to major in Asian Studies?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
ShioriOokami In reply to Emi-Hikari [2012-03-28 01:17:17 +0000 UTC]
Yeah there are barely any Asian Studies courses being offered next semester. Its really annoying. Im currently taking Korean right now but will be focusing on Japanese only starting next semester. Ive been struggling lately and I think part of the reason [theres quite a few reasons] is because Im dividing my attention between the two languages but really, the Japanese teachers at my school are terrible. Theyre infamous actually. Even my adviser knows how horrible they are.
Anywho, Japan was awesome, of course but you already knew that x3 The people there are really nice and its so beautiful there~ umm...I dont know what to say haha what would you like to know?
Yeah I think my mom mentioned the possibility of a direct flight being the way I go - probably because its cheaper. Actually, I think I decided I wanted to be a translator when I first started taking Japanese. I had always been interested in languages but Japanese was the language that made me really start thinking about becoming a translator. I love seeing the difference as well as similarities between the East Asian languages and cultures which is why I chose to major in Asian Studies. Ive studied Chinese in addition to Korean and Japanese, but Japanese was always my passion. I just hope my horrible teachers dont kill my love for it -.- What level of Japanese are you taking, btw?

Emi-Hikari In reply to ShioriOokami [2012-03-29 01:09:37 +0000 UTC]
Wow, you're really lucky to have Korean teachers. I have some really close friends that are Korean, but they don't teach me much often, so usually I have to try to study on my own. But actually, Japanese and Korean share similar grammar and some of the same words, so I guess we're at an advantage in that respect.
:'3 Eeek anything you want!! What time of year did you go??? I forget if you already said OTL
Wow, that's so impressive. :'o You're really lucky to have the chance to learn all three in a classroom setting! I'm currently in 202 Japanese, but I've been studying on my own for almost seven years, so I'm a little ahead of that. My speaking still needs desperate work, though. T^T What about you? What levels are you at with all three? Seriously, that's really amazing. You should be proud of yourself for having that kind of dedication!!
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
ShioriOokami In reply to Emi-Hikari [2012-03-30 02:23:59 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, the korean teachers dont really know how to teach though xD I have some korean friends too but I dont really ask them about korean that - much unless I am writing a paper or something and cant say a sentence because we havent learned the vocab yet. but yeah some of the grammer and words are similar which helps in some cases
I also went to Japan in the summer the first time I went. It was sunny for the first half of the trip and then pouring rain for the rest xD I didnt really mind tho - I love rain :3 As long as its not freezing and windy with lightning trying to kill me lol other than that - when its just raining, I just find it so peaceful. My mom didnt like it too much though haha but she loved everything else about the trip - and of course i did too x3 And you gotta love melon pan~~~ lololol that stuff was awesome! And they had so many sales in the malls *o* that was seriously the first time I enjoyed shopping for clothes - probably cuz they actually have the style I like {you know - long, loose and comfortable as opposed to short and tight-fitting clothing that you see here}. Have you ever been on yesstyle.com? they have alot of Asian fashion [and I think some European too]. Love that site~
Anywho - if you have any specific questions, let me know cuz I dont really know what to say xD
What level is 202? I had 2 years in high school, then I couldnt take it for 2 years because my old college didnt offer it. So then I started with level 2 when I came here in the summer and Im currently in 110 [fourth level]. Hopefully my grade can survive another month till the semester is over T.T Its been rough...this semester has just been horrible and I cant wait till its over.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Emi-Hikari In reply to ShioriOokami [2012-04-14 02:34:53 +0000 UTC]
I think when I take Korean in Japan, the teachers will probably be Japanese or Korean. I kind of hope the latter, since my pronunciation SUCKS T^T
I love that website! I'm glad the fashion isn't all tight-fitting stuff. And I'm glad to hear about rainy summers.
I actually went to a Q&A last night, which was SUPER helpful. I think I'm actually going to be buying my plane ticket this weekend!! Ahhhh I'm so excited! I appreciate all your advice with this^^♥
202 is the fourth level also. I wonder why schools do things so differently...
Well, the semester IS almost over. You'll have the summer to work on it, right? Just don't give up!!
