i also would like to welcome you to DA. the first things to do is to join some groups to get friends and to get your wonderful work out to the public. i know you had joined my group and i know you will have fun there but it would be good to try some others also.

welcome to we are a learning group for manipulations. we put on two learning contests a month and once a month a very hard challenge with prizes. we also have two fun things to do for those who are shy about contests or would just like to have more practice. you are welcome to join in at any time you are able. hope to see you soon.

After I had been on here for a couple of months I realized I was going to have to find some groups or something. I think the artwork cycles through the new/featured folder too quickly to get very many views otherwise. I'm hoping to participate in some of your contests and activities. Though I'm not sure whether I should be entering items in the advanced or beginner section. Thanks again for the warm welcome!

I'm so glad you are going to try some of the contests. it is always best to start off as beginner. usually advanced if for those who have been doining it for quite a long time and they have already won awards. i think you will feel more comfortable in beginner.
