I'm actually still planning to re-vamp my Suki one last time before I'm 100% happy with it. Mainly the light green/teal piece because a kimono pattern just didn't seem to cut it for me. I'm going to be devising my own pattern next time :]

Speaking of the green shirt/robe piece, what sort of patten did you use? Was it all one piece? And if so, how did you get it to wrap around on top, but be open on the bottom?

And, not to pester, but what sort of fabric did you use?

Its not as functional as it should be (which is why I'm planning to remake it) but I used just a regular kimono pattern. It didn't work how I wanted it to, but wrapping the top I improvised by adding little ties made out of the same colored fabric to keep it over to one side. It doesn't stay open at the bottom by itself, my fabric armor was just snug enough to keep it in place if I pulled it out to the sides. I find myself readjusting my neck piece often because of how wide the kimono pattern is around the neck and occasionally re-adjusting the bottom to stay open.

I'm limited in my outlets for fabric and I was determined to get the color correct before the texture/weight of the fabric-- so I used cotton solids to make the kimono and hakama. When I remake the kimono piece with a different pattern I plan to find a heavier and softer fabric if I can track down the right color :]

Needless to say, the Kyoshi warrior outfit is definitely an experimental/rough draft the first time around xD For me anyway, haha 8D
