Hello, thanks for the welcome.
Although, to be honest, I have been a Deviant for many months, it just doesn't seem like it because I have no work up yet. I spend far too little time these days drawing and painting, and far, far too much time with my schoolwork. The other, most unfortunate, excuse I have is that my sketchbook was eaten by faeries or imps, I'm not sure which of the little rascals did it, but this has meant that several original works by me, (including one drawing of a sea dragon, of which I was quite proud), and many story/plotlines for my most recent book idea that I had recorded in pictorial form.
I should probably spend less time on my work, and at least one half hour a day drawing (This however is quite unlikely).
And just think, if I devoted my time to other areas, I wouldn't be able to talk to people on Deviantart about fantastic books.

Awww, I understand that a lot. And I am sorry for your sketchbook, imps and faereies can be very mean at times. And I think you should work alot on your drawings and book ideas, so people will coment on you wonderful work! (even though it is fun to talk about books).

I have recently come across a couple of new sources for inspiration, hopefully these will give me the motivation I need. I have promised myself that by the end of this coming weekend I will have:
a) Started drawing one scannable image.
b) Re-written the prologue for the failed book idea I liked the most.
Thanks for your encouragement, I think I needed that little push forward.

Forget the weekend, I've half finished one picture already. Hurrah!
Not only that, but it's the first of a series of around hmmmm, 12 or so I think. That will hopefully keep me busy. Hopefully my scanner will be kind to me, and won't ruin them. I've also made some adjustments to my prologue, and completely neglected all of my work today *hits self in the back of the head*, so I should probably do some of that too.

Yeah! Yeah the scanner is really evil, I should know, . Is your work posted yet? I would love to see them. I cannot want!

Runebreaker In reply to ElfFromRigel [2005-03-02 07:04:58 +0000 UTC]
Not yet, I'll have to finish it first. Please be as patient with me as you can. It should be finished soon *gnaws on fingernails frantically*. This applies to both my picture and my assessment task. If either aren't finished by the end of the weekend I'm in serious trouble. *forgets fingernails and gnaws whole fist instead*. I'm better now, I think it's important to finish this, as it's turning out really well so far. I need to be very careful not to smudge it though (5B leads can be a pain that way, but they're really good for shading, and dark lines).

Yeah, I will wait. *waits in a dark corner rocking back and forth* But I think you need a band-aid for your hand. I hope your assighment goes well and you get it done! Good luck with it!

Come out of that corner at once. Corners are no place for people to be, particularly dark ones. My hand is fine, it grew back when I told it I would stop drawing if it didn't (Don't try this one at home, usually hands won't listen).
Altho... Hey, I just realised something, is that quote that appears under your comments a quote from your book? I didn't realise before. It's funny, makes me laugh.
Does this mean that Algo and Erin are two of the other characters, those are great names.

ElfFromRigel In reply to Runebreaker [2005-03-02 08:15:12 +0000 UTC]
Oh but I like the corner! And dark ones are fun because the have evil demons who have candy! I am glad your hand grew back, tha is a great talent to have (I need that one ). Yes the quote is from my book, actually my second book (I am writing a trilogy). I hoped it would be funny, because there is a lot of weird humour in my book (but it is a bit scary ). Erin and Algo are two of the main characters in my book (long story [really long!]), And thank you so much!

A Trilogy? Yes! All good things come in three's. Expecially trilogies. Some of my best friends are trilogies. It's very difficult to successfully put humour into a book, is wierd humour harder? I've taken a look at some of your Deviations, is your poem "Lucifer" realted to the character from your book? and if so, is it included in your book? Also, I love map drawings and I like Faelereland already, is this the world setting for your book? I noticed the forest called "Rigel". There's a lot of detail in the work, I like it.

Aww man, I feel really red. Many compliments (darn I cannot spell tonight!), I do not deserve them! Well I was raised with wierd humour (I like your way of spelling weird) so it was a pretty easy thing to transfer, that and I am insane. OH Lucifer, that was for a contest and my villian dude was my inspreation (DIE TYPOS!!!) And his name is Lucifer (I named him such because Zhonu and Sethur are retarded.....[and there are really no perfect villian names]) and Lucifer the devil from the poem just fits. And yes Lucifer is in the book, I needed a good villian, even though I already had one. My map, oh thank you so much! Took me a while, and I need to work on some Kingdom names and also the maps itself. I also got my user name from Rigel, because elves live there, Thank you for the comments, I feel really, really red. I need to comment on a few things of your now. You live in Australia!!! That is so cool! *waits for deviantions to comment on*

It's nice to know that someone besides myself is insane.
Then again, I know many people who are insane, most of whom are my friends (including those who are trilogies as well). Australia, is not cool, it has been quite hot, and I was playing Basketball today, silly me. I bet that living in Greenland is a lot cooler. Hmmm, I wonder if my brother has any music from Greenland (he has stacks of bands from all over the world that he listens to).
I have to go for now, and work on my picture *slaps forehead* and my assessment task.
*Presses Logout button* ... ... ... *Remaining fragments of world detonate around self* Maybe I should just keep my mouse pointer to myself.

Hahahahahaha, friends who are insane trilogies.... that is great. Hahahahahaha yeah.... but Australia has kangroos and kawals (I cannot spell today either, okay the little fuzzy tree bears). And it has warm beaches to surf on. And I really do not live in Greenland, I just thing it is funny to say I live there. I actually live in Canada. But if I did live in Greenland it would be a lot cooler, freezing really. Have fun on your assessment! And picture!!! (poor world, it has been detonated a bit too much).

Ah! Canada. *feels sheepish, but laughs anyway*
I've met some very nice Canadians who come from Canada.
One of my cousins has travelled there a few times, and worked as a ski instructor.
Koalas are very cute, but you don't usually see them in the wild, and in any case, they sleep most of the time, and actually they're not bears at all. They just look like it. Real bears live in Canada though don't they? As well as mooses, or is it meese (Goose Geese, Moose Meese)?

Hahahahah Should I sing the Lumberjack song? Yeah and Canadians from Canada are nice, not as the Canadians from Greenland I do like koalas (thank you for the word!!) and I never knew tey were not bears, wow *learns something new*. Bears do live in Canada, yes, (though I have yet to see one). And moose I love moose, they are my favourite animals. Meese....

Quotes, what quotes, mmmm I like quotes.
Ummm, if you mean the one about learning two things the next day? Yes, I made that one up just then, most of the other ones I probably make up as well.
Any quotes that are really stupid... My friends make those ones, yes that's it, my friends hmmm.

I remember that there was a childrens song that went:
"Please don't call me a koala bear. Coz' I'm not a bear at all.
Please don't call me a koala bear. It's driving me up the wall."
I remember way too many things from childhood, whether that's good, bad, I don't know. How exactly do you put the emoticons in messages, do you just type the text beside them in the emoticon legend? For example

ElfFromRigel In reply to Runebreaker [2005-03-03 06:45:30 +0000 UTC]
Aww, what a cute song! And I memorized many of the emoticon codes, but usually you copy them then paste, or type the code. Such as ,

I can remember already, and I will have to memorise some others like , and etc. I suppose finding the one you want is harder than typing them.

All it takes is practise. *slaps self when realises pathetic clicheness of previous comment* . Anyway, you don't need juggling, You've written a book, and you can draw, and write poetry too.

Yes, but practise I need, but time I have not. *huggles (yes huggles....) to death Rune* slapping hurts, do not hurt yourself! And I may have written a book, I draw and write poetry (not very good poetry but hey :shurg: ) but do I have a social life? :rolf: no way.
