So I've chatted to you many moons ago and I'm in the process of planning my Dante cosplay and I was curious to know what kind of fabric you used for the coat? Everytime I think of a Dante cosplay yours comes to mind so could you please help? ;-;

Ah, thank you so much for the thought! That's actually a wee bit of a complicated question.
My friend's dad owns a fabric warehouse, so this was actually some scrap material I received for the latest version of the coat. Technically, it's pleather, but is MUCH stronger, more durable. Wish I could help more, but you should be fine just going with pleather, just be careful not to bunch it up, or leave it in a hot room...learned the hard way on that one. If there are any other questions, be sure to let me know!

Okay, as long as I get a general idea of what to use. I was told to use so many other fabrics so I figured I'd ask someone who has made the coat.
Now did you make the buckles on his coat or find something to work with that was close? >< sorry to bombard you with questions.

Hey, I appreciate questions, it means you enjoyed! I actually got these as generic pieces online that worked for this costume, and I thought they fit nicely. Also, the first thing you HAVE to do is look for what you want to do with your coat, otherwise you mess it up every time. I had to do that many times with this beast, so I know full well...like for mine, I knew that I was going for a realistic feel for the coat, not necessarily following the game, I drew up a rough design (don't stress too hard about being spot on about the design, just do what works), and it went great. Pleather worked for mine, but HOW you make yours should really determine the materials.
