Cool. Funny story...I have my own group of (drawings) Teen super heroes and I thought I check some on DV. There isn't too many (Haven't explore deeper) and i stumble unto yours. Comic + Heroes are sorta' my work field area (becoming a graphic designer.)

Soo...hopefully I get my own heroes running soon on DV and later into comics. It's hard being creative since almost Marvel and DC has like all the super powers now and everything. So yea, your characters seem to be pretty cool.

Well cool. Best of luck on your comics.
But yeah I know what you mean by trying to come up with heroes and villains that haven't been done too many times.
It goes back to this zombie movie topic I had a with a friend.
Now adays, zombies have been beaten to death. So to come up with a story about zombies, you either have to come up with something new (which is harder and harder to do) Or take a existing idea and view it at a different angle.
Like Robert Kirkman's "Walking Dead", doesn't reinvent the zombie story, but make it more focused on the humans living in this world. And does way with things that don't really matter like "how did zombies come about" or "what can they do to stop them"
That kind of logic can apply to anything.
Or like my hero Bluestar. His powers are like that of Green Lantern, and the plot sound a bit like this old movie Starkid (wasn't that great of a film) Teen Find alien object and get super powers. Also same story for hero like Red Star, Ms. Mavel, Animal Man, and so on.
So the stories been done before, but you can make it different.

I can help you bounce some ideas around, I'm good with that kind of thing.

(Cry) I finally get to share my most nerdiest side.

"Take a existing idea and view it at a different angle." I love that! Thanks!

Wow! alot of wisdom here, Okay cool. Uhh, I haven't build upon villains yet and I'm still working with background stories with my heroes. I'm also trying to work with modern stuff with my characters. Sorta' like The Runaways...well, half of the idea came from The Runaways/Teen Titans.../Legion of Superhero.

Yea, Villains are seconds on my list. I was planning on something big like the secret invasion but that's too big. I still need ideas on that side. Thanks for the help. Mybe I can do the same for you.

Welcome dude.
One thing I would get, is these two books called "Writer on comic book script writing" vol 1 &2. It a collection of interviews of well know comic writers like Neil Gaiman, Garth Ennis, Grant Morrison, and so on. Granted, both are out of print, so it might be hard to find them.

One thing to keep in mind when writing, and this was something Morrison said, "Have a ending in mind, it doesn't have to be set in stone, but work towards it."

That partly why in my comic I start with two pages of the Ending, so I can work to that.

For villains, there are many ways to come up with them. Some you can make more as a jock. Or some that reflect different aspects of the heroes.
like watch these Arkham Files on Batman villains.
