Lath'len winced when he heard Marta shout out her lover's name and he shook his head. "Oh dear..."

Jax meanwhile rolled his eyes and let out a groan while Marta gave him a narrow look before looking back down at the young elf. "Come on now, up with you. You and Jax are going to explain a few thing to me."

Al'fons sniffled and stood up wobbily, smiling a little when the pixie landed on his shoulder.

Marta helped knock some of the grass and dirt of his tunic before waddling over to the fire. "Alright, out with it!"
"Why don't we let the spas tell it, then I'll have my say," Jax sniffed, looking up at her as he jabbed a finger at he younger elf.

Al'fons promptly started to ramble off what had happened in the forest, flailing his arms helplessly as he told Marta about Jax trying to murder the Pixie and how he used his magic to make Al'fons do things when she said it was wrong and bad.

Marta listened patiently before quickly realizing what had clearly taken place, though she did not agree with her lover's teaching method. Jax just glared, looking irritated, but not particularly mad or even in disagreement with what the young elf had wildly explained, the others around the fire quietly listening.
"I see..." Marta said from where she still stood.
"Yah I did all that, but you have to 'see' and truly experience what Marta told you, you little ingrate!" Jax growled.
"Jax! Be nice, he's young." Marta tutted.

"YOU ARE BAD BECAUSE SHE SAID NOT TO DO THAT! YOU ARE LIKE THE ONES WHO MADE HER DO THINGS SHE DIDN'T WANT TO!" Al'fons raged.

Jax narrowed his eyes at him, while Marta stepped over to him and put a calming hand on the red head's thin shoulder. "Jax would never do that, Sweetie! I know he could have gone about it differently..." Turning to give said elf a pointed look before turning back to Alfons. "But he was trying to teach you."
"That's why I used a sapling you little shit! Crap. I even let you keep it when I should have simply returned it to its true form. I was showing you what the reality of our powers."

"You're bad and tried to kill him," Al'fons said, petting the top of the pixie's head with the end of one finger lightly.

"I had to show you the consequences of abusing your powers, how easy it can be to get carried away. Besides... You were the one to hurt it." the older elf sneered as he got up coming over to stand next to Marta.

"NO, you tricked yourself. Instead of thinking, you simply reacted without any thought to what might happen. You were thinking only of your anger- only of yourself."

Marta hearing this gave her mate a pointed look her arms crossed above her big belly, while Jax scowled. "I wasn't actually going to do it! I was showing you how easy it is to slip into abuse of your power. Like how good it can be, turning a sapling into a pixie," Motioning to said creature still sitting on Alfons' shoulder. "How innocent things like changing it's color or you making it male, small changes, how they can escalate and become dangerous and wrong!"

"Changing its color and setting it on fire are two different things!" Al'fons pointed out.

The older elf shrugged, "It was extreme, but it illustrated my point."

"I am not, you little Idiot!" Jax sneered, he would have said more but Marta decided that she now had the information she needed to know and decided to step in.
"Enough! Both of you," She sighed, looking between them as she stepped forward as the others continued to watch.

Al'fons looked at Marta and he sniffled softly.

She gave him a warm look before motioning for Jax to help her sit down by the fire and for Alfons to sit beside her. Jax soon sat down behind her so she could lean back as she hissed at her aching and swollen ankles, sitting back with her legs stretched out.
"I know whats going on now and your both right and wrong to be upset." she finally said.

"Now you stop that, Little One. He can be mean, but Jax is not stupid or ugly, he's my Mate. And father to my baby."

"I will NOT!" Jax snarled in outrage over Marta's shoulder, acidentily jostling the poor wide eyed woman. "Your the one we need to watch out for!"

"Then stop acting like it!" Jax snarled back.
"Stop it! Both of you- right now!" Marta cried out, sitting up, putting up both her hands.

"Now then... Alfons. Jax seemed like he was being bad, but he was trying to show you what I told you earlier. When you got upset about him doing those things to the um...pixie, he was showing you what your brother felt when he thought when you burned David and turned Loth'len into a halla. He was showing you and making you understand." She explained, reaching out to hold the young elf's hand before turning to look over her shoulder at her mate.
"As for you. You could have been nicer, he's young and doesn't understand." Jax scowled but visibly deflated under her stern look.

"Well consider yourself doubly taught. Now you have no excuse to ever do something like that again." Jax sniffed.
"Jax, behave." She then turned to the redhead. "As for you, you understand know what not to do now. So let us put this behind us, Jax will be nicer when you have your next lesson."

"Your right, your not stupid and you don't need to be told again." She agreed, patting his hand.

He sniffled and bowed his head, rubbing at his eyes.

"Oh! Come here. No tears, Sweetie!" She cooed, the maternal instinct kicking in as she pulled him into her arms. Jax nose wrinkled, looking less then thrilled but held his tongue as Marta rocked the young elf in her arms.
"Everyone has to learn some stuff ya don't want to," Felix said then, from where he was watching as he squatted next to David and Ariz.
"That's right," Marta nodded over Alfons head, the confused pixie momentarily forgotten.
