Awww, thank you! I thought your Rainbow Dash costume rocked! The wings were really cute! Did you make them yourself?

Sadly i didn't make the wings or the ears myself...I ordered them from Yaya Han's etsy. I usually like to make things myself, but it's just been too busy for me lately. Are you going to Senshi-Con next year?

Yup! This was my first year, and I enjoyed it so much I definitely will be going next year. I haven't thought about what my cosplay will be yet though. I'm still trying to pull together my Halloween costume! >.<

I have parts of my Raven Herald costume done, but there is still a lot of work left to do, and it's becoming expensive because of all the little details I want on it, lol!

Ah, I started a halloween costume, but now our plans have been cancelled so I'll probably just end up taking the costume to a convention with me instead. Who is Raven Herald? I love to attempt costumes with a lot of details, but sometimes it gets so difficult to add everything, haha.
One of the costumes I'm attempting has hooks on it everywhere, but they're a certain kind of hook that I need to make a mold for and make from scratch. It's starting to get a little tedius!

Aww, that's unfortunate about your Halloween plans Although, I am beginning to think that the same is occurring with mine. It's a bummer, and I may have to visit my steampunk Cheshire cat costume at a later time.

A Raven Herald is an obscure group of Elves who worship the Goddess of Fate. For the life of me, I can't remember her name! Any way, they are most known for having a cloak entirely covered in black feathers, wearing dark armor and ride a large black horse. They are a part of lore from the Warhammer fantasy world. I absolutely adore them, and in the Sundering Trilogy, they come and go in the involvement of the storyline.

Elthyrior I believe, is the Raven Herald's name who is involved in those books. I completely adore him hehe. But, my costume will be my own character made of the Raven Herald lore I can find

As for the hooks, that's crazy! I wish you the best of luck! If I can help somehow, let me know

I will check out the Sundering Trilogy. I am constantly looking out for new great books to read! It sounds like an interesting costume....a coat covered entirely in black feathers! Did you finish your steampunk Cheshire cat costume? I hope you had a good Halloween? (It was already almost a month ago...wow, haha)

Thanks for offering to help with the hooks! I am still not sure the direction I need to go with making the casts, have you done any casting with resin?

If I can help with anything you're doing, let me know too! I'll be around deviantart a lot more in the next few months now that the semester is close to coming to an end.

I didn't get a chance to finish my Steampunk Cheshire cat costume!! I still don't have much time to work on it now, either. I haven't given up on it though! I just need to see how the pieces of my hectic life fall and adjust accordingly haha. I am trying to sort out my complicated relationship, and I have found a new fire to go back to college for art and illustration, so I dunno HOW I'm gonna fit costuming projects into all of that!!

I haven't worked with resin at all, but it never hurts to learn! I know there are a few easy at-home techniques you can use to cast something. The internet is AWESOME for the how-tos, haha.

I'll try to do some digging for you on the casting, and if I find anything nifty about it I'll send it your way! ^^
