Llama's are fun badges you can give others for free, and people give them for different reasons. I usually give them to people whose art I like ^^  
  Many collect llama badges, and if you get a llama from someone it's polite to give one back You should try giving one to someone whose art you like! In the upper right corner of a person's profile page, there's the word "give" next to a present, it opens a drop menu where you can see different things you can give to someone. Llamas are free, others cost points (DeviantArt's in-site currency) ^^
