Hello :) (Smile) well, first I draw the shape of the head, I usually use H or 2H pencil, so I can easily erase it if necessary. Then I lightly outline where the eyes should be, and from their position I draw the nose and mouth and ears etc. I always start with the eyes and then I continue to color the whole face and finish with the hair and clothes. I think the eyes are the most important thing, if I don't get them right I don't even continue with the drawing until they are correct. I use HB, 3B, 6B and the darkest 8B pencil, but sometimes it varies. I might do a portrait tutorial later, but we'll see. I hope it helped a little bit. Good luck!
