Everything Ōkami related! Not sure what gallery to submit to? Here's a quick summary (Submit to the first one that applies):
NOTE: DO NOT SUBMIT TO THE FEATURED FOLDER. IT WILL BE MOVED OUT IF YOU DO, NO MATTER HOW GOOD IT IS. Featuring art is up to the administrator/moderators.
Crossovers: Any mix of Okami and another fandom.
Photos, Manips, Crafts: Handmade crafts, multimedia art, cosplay, photography, and photomanipulations - basically, if you take a photo of it, and it's not just something that could be scanned, it goes here.
OCs: Stands for 'Original Characters'. Non-official characters based on the Okami style or lore.
Stories and comics: comics or written deviations.
Animations and Interactive: includes animated sprites, Flash animations, Flash interactive, etc.
Anthro or Humanized: If any nonhuman characters are depicted as human or bipedal.
Okamiden: Any solely Okamiden-related art.
Bosses and bad guys: Art that primarily features enemies from Okami.
Other Brush Gods: Art that features brush gods other than Shiranui.
Oki: Art that primarily features Oki.
Waka and Issun: Art that primarily or largely features Waka, Issun, or both.
Amaterasu and Shiranui: Art that primarily or entirely features Amaterasu and/or Shiranui.
Other: Anything that does not fit into the above categories, i.e. side characters in Okami, landscapes/scenery, skins, memes, etc.

i mean i want to create a character that also have the fire thing mixed with a green thing like amaterasu does it just a created character by me ?

I was wondering if i was allowed to submit one of my pieces? It's a traditional painting in ink and watercolour using the Okami style, but the subject is my own dog, not an Okami character. Would you accept something like that?

Both Okami and Okamiden deserves more attention and fans. they both have fantastic story.
Okamiden was the one of difficult to find but I eventualy managed to get it and play.

some of the art posted her doesn't look like okami fan or original work.

All of it is related to Okami in some way. There are folders in which we allow crossovers and Okami-based OCs, so some things are less directly related to the games than others. As far as 'original' art, some people just tend to practice drawing by trying to copy existing pictures by eye. We don't really have a problem with that, as long as they don't try to pass it off as being entirely created by them.

Since I joined I have seen some artwork that looks a bit of okami but reading the description has nothing hinting to okami fan art or even original characters.
I could be missing something but I'm not gonna point fingers. I just wanted to bring it to attention.

If you are talking about the Chakra comics, it revolves in the Okami universe. I've ok'd the comic for that reason. You can see the relation in the deviations themselves.

No not the comics. some characters have been submitted in other. I didn't quite understand since some of them have nothing in the description about okami. like I said, I could be missing them, but I looked.

Is anyone interested in making 3d okami art for the nintendo 3DS, I'm wondering how to go about making this a reality. What program/software would be best?

As far as I know, all 3D pictures for the 3DS has to be made on the 3DS. Some stupid formatting thing and picture types. All outside imports don't work on the 3DS, even if the file type is the same.
