What area are you in? I worked for a game design company in Baton Rouge for a little while over the summer. Your 3D models look great.

I wish I could help you out man. I know there are some places in Dallas, you just have to look for them. Down here, the company I was with over the summer ended up going in a different direction than game design, more of marketing. EA sports has a headquarters with, and its not too hard to get a job there but its not a good one. They treat their employees pretty poorly. But the game design industry is growing pretty quickly in Baton Rouge and there are a bunch of companies that need people who can model and design.

Thank you very much for your reply man. I appreciate the sentimentality to my conundrum. I have been working my rear-end of to just get in.. all I need is a chance to prove my worthiness sort-a-speak. lol. Thank you also for the tips. If you hear of anything or get on somewhere else let me know.. by the way what did you do? Graphics only or do you know programing too?

Sure thing man.
When I worked for them over the summer I worked primarily as a web designer/developer. Since I was an intern they had me doing game stuff on the side. The guy in the cubicle next to me was the head graphic designer and just watching him work was amazing. I learned a lot just from being there.
This is one of the sites I developed for them:

That is a pretty nice site dude. Great job. I will be upgrading my portfolio site soon. I am finishing up the graphics on it. Once that is done, I will probably e-mail a lot of companies including the one you just gave me. Would you mind being a reference for me? Maybe a reference letter or something? Did you get to know any of the artist real well?

I would but like I said earlier, the company took a different direction. When I applied for my internship they were a full blown game design company that was aimed towards iPhone/iPad games. But after about 2 months of internal problems between the CEO and CTO and lead graphic designer it eventually broke up and the CEO took it in a different direction, more towards business and no longer dealing with and kind of design. And I have no way to contact the lead graphic designer because he wasnt the one I reported to every day.
