Heya! Sorry for the delayed response. I am very bad at updating and keeping track of my deviantart account and I only just saw your message.
I am well. It is very hot in the UK at the moment.

I am at an event on Sunday and as it is so hot I am trying to put together a new hot weather cosplay quickly. Then next weekend I am at another event (Hyper Japan where the UK ECG 2014 selections are taking place) where I will be helping to run the masquerade.

I am also working on my cosplays for the World Cosplay Summit qualifiers in October and for the COsplay World Masters finals (still no date for this one XD)

Will you be cosplaying at Abunai? I don't know this event well. What is it like?

yeah hot is it here also  damm somethimes we arent working on the cosplays because its to warm.
wow its soo cool all those cosplay events. i wish i could do that too.

About abunai. Well its a comfy convention and its like animecon 3 days long. it will be hold in a hotel and there is alot to do. The hotel is outside the centrum soo much people normale people you wont see. the hotel has his own parc and forrest and the inside have defferents styles.  its cheaper then Animecon  and the hotel was in 2 day fully booked. Animecon is the whole day and night, And Abunai the whole day till 2 o clock in the night. there are alot of young people there ( new ones)

My cosplay i will wear on Abunai is:
Friday: Nai Karneval
Saturday: Ciel bloody kuroshitsuji
Sunday: Secret?
I cant tell you yet because people will read it and i wanne suprise with sammy and ichi the Yosh group.  but i can say im almost done.
today I finish my first english shirocosplay blog so people know the persone behind it. its soo cool people like it allready.

Not annoying at all. I'm always happy to help others because I live with the hope that in the same situation others would help me.

I used an approximat 2:1 dilution of PVA (white glue) to stiffen my felt. I soaked the felt in the solution, squeezed it out and then left it to dry flat. The resulting felt was stiff but still retained a fuzzy surface. You may need to alter the proportions of glue to water depending on your particular brand of PVA.

I used hot glue to attach loose extensions to the felt spikes

I used Hi-tack fabric glue to add an additional layer of wig hair in a couple of places where I decided it was a little thin.

I used Got2B hair spray and spiking glue to style.


In other words, I used a lot of glues.

Nice tutorial! And By 2:1 I mean 2 parts water to one part glue but my PVA was a little old at the time so probs a 1:1 would do the trick.

Hiya. It's proportions. So 2 parts water to 1 part glue means that whatever the volume of glue used, you will need twice as much water to dilute it.

So if your solution had 100ml of glue then you'd need 200ml of water for a 2 parts water, 1 part glue solution.

Does that make sense?
