LOL I followed your name to your profile, wondering if this was supposed to be sodium hydroxide (NaOH) instead, only to see that the most recent commenter was looking at the very same thing!

I assume your "handle" means "sodium (NaH2O)." Why did you choose it, if you don't mind my asking?

Well to be honest I meant it to say NaClH2O (saltwater) but accidentally left out the Cl so instead I got sodium water. Which interestingly is a violent reaction when sodium is placed into water

Lol, Originally meant it to be NaClH2O (Saltwater) but screwed it up. Interestingly the reaction of sodium in water is quite fun to watch

Indeed. We snatched about an ounce of it from my High School chem lab and dropped it in the Los Angeles river one rainy night back in 1964... They'd throw you in jail for doing something like that now. LOL...
It was fun watching it bounce out of the water, sparkle and fall back down again.
(Yeah, we were quite nuts...)

It's an interesting story really. I'm a scientist myself and I actually meant it to be NaClH2O...salt water (I'm a marine biologist). But unfortunately I forgot the chlorine. But with that said putting straight sodium in water is pretty fun to watch .

you forgot the chlorine ^^
ok: I understood now. you are a MARINE biologist.
and I see now (Na,H20) get a problem : it's a cation (+ needed).
so ( Na, H20 )+.
(Na+, C-, H20) work so ( NaCl, H20) .

Great gallery, nice to see some real world type figures and not the thin supermodels that seem to be everywhere!
