I'd rather get into a series that's honest about how bizarre and over the top it is rather than one that pretends to be deep, and philosophical. Hell like Elfen Lied, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure kills a dog in a gruesome way, but because Araki is just an overall better writer than Okomoto, he does it off camera, and doesn't make us see it. So yeah good job Araki.

Also have you ever considered that the scene you are describing was meant to convey an emotion? For me it was pity. Was it over the top, yeah but I empathized with the situation. Look you have made it abundantly clear you don't like that show. I'm perfectly OK with that. However you cannot make a comparison like that simply because Elfen Lied is at it's core two things. The first being a horror anime which I have a soft spot for because I enjoy horror. The second being a drama. Admittedly a very melodramatic drama, but when it gets it right damn does it get it right. Plus you don't think I've seen better stuff out there, buddy you don't know what I've got in my library. Plus from what you offered as "recommendations" are really nothing more then generic violent shows that really I have no interest in. At least from what I can tell. Some of the shows you have mentioned I'll admit I was quite shocked about that you actually enjoy. As for when and will I watch Jo Jo, well when I'm not busy with life and enjoying the shows I'm currently watching. So if you got anything else to say, you might as well say it. I know you want to. I've gotten to know you so well that you are the most stubborn person I've ever meat.

No, but unlike things that aren't as financially successful like Durarara!!!, Elfen Lied, or Claymore they aren't esoteric bullshit that only weaboo douchenozzle hipsters would appreciate. That's why those shows you listed as well as Berserk, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, One Piece, Gurren Lagann, Space Dandy, and Full Metal Alchemist are mainstream and hugely financially successful where stuff you've been calling so great are niche as all hell.

Did I say those were great? No, all I said was that these shows are good. You say they aren't and fit into "weaboo dochenozzle hipsters" crowd. First of all no and second those shows you listed you gave up on. BTW I don't fit into that crowd and you want to know why. I wait till a show is dubbed and then I determine weather or not it is good and I use something called a brain, which you clearly don't use. Oh and also, a lot of people don't like Full Metal Alchemist or Brotherhood. Not because it's main stream but they found flaws with said shows that were too much for them to like it. Kinda like how you said the shows I like are and I quote "they aren't esoteric bullshit that only weaboo douchenozzel hipsters would appreciate." I see you are generalizing as well. Dammy what you need to realize is that others have different tastes and interests. Many shows that are successful aren't necessarily good. Again Naruto, Bleach, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, and Sword Art Online are prime examples of this. All of these shows are critically panned and these shows also pissed off a lot of people who either enjoyed the franchise they derived from (ala Mobile Fighter G Gundam) or they do something so stupid that it pisses off a lot of people who thought it had a chance. Again just because it's mainstream doesn't mean it's good. Unless you enjoy being a mindless drone who follows what media tells to. While you do that, I'm going to form my own opinion and stick to what I know.

You have said they were, and that you loved them. And yeah people will find fault with anything if they don't like it. In the shows you've listed cases, people hated them because they were popular. Plus Naruto, Bleach, Sword Art Online, and G.Gundam were not critically panned. At least by professional critics. Professional critics really did like them. These shows were panned, by well... Weaboo douche nozzle hipsters who hate anything popular and mainstream. Now I don't think such shows are perfect. In fact they do have dud arcs and episodes. However what I am saying that despite the problems in story telling these shows make up for it with developed characters, plot twists, very good animation for an anime standard, and high staked conflict. Point is that despite their faults, there is an actual appeal to these shows. Claymore really has none. Hence I call it esoteric bullshit.
