May I just say welcome to Deviant Art!
I see you've already had a few exchanges with some of our other Deviants and that is fantastic! The best way to make friends here is just to be yourself and connect with others, you will find that there are lot's of people that share your tastes in art and they have many groups for you to possibly participate in.
There a re a few good ways to get start here on Deviant Art, and I'd like to draw you're attention to just a few of them if I may.
Firstly there is the Official Tour which explains a lot of what we're about and what you can expect while here:
