Naawww Mel, thank you!!!  I've only just found my birthday greetings on here.  Thank you, I did have a happy birthday.  Life has changed completely in the last year - well, since the end of October actually.  We sold our house, David retired, we had to put David's mum into a home and then she passed away 10 days later, with all that entailed.  We were living in our caravan for 6 weeks during all of that.
Well, now we've moved into a retirement village and life is peaceful, busy with things we want to be doing, volunteer driving in the village including their 28 seater bus which we both love driving, and going away in the caravan when we can.  Life is good.
What about you my friend?  Love and huge hugs to you!!!

WOW - you really have been "busy" but it seems to have worked out good for you both - and driving the "village bus" must be great fun!! I am currently in the UK dealing with things following my mothers recent death.. funeral on Monday...

I'm glad to hear that. My life has been busy, work taking almost all my energy and inspiration. Fortunately, I start a new job in two weeks, so I hope to have more energy then for.... well, everything, really. How have you been?

I have been well thank you.  Life has been very busy, adjusting to David's retirement (with his Mum passing away very soon after that).  We moved into a retirement village and do a lot of volunteer driving for the village as well as a weekly mahjong group and a monthly art class.  Still doing our miniatures, reading heaps of books, which I haven't had time for in many years.  David, our sons and grandchildren are all well and happy.  Life is good

Hello dear Denyse <3  Yes, it has been a long time and I've only just found my birthday wishes (I am sorry).  I am well, thank you.  David retired at the end of October and it's been a crazy ride ever since then with some good and some bad.  David's Mum passed away 3 days before David's birthday in November, and his father has recently fallen and broken hiis hip.  My mother had a small breast cancer removed, but that went well.

On the good side, we have moved into a lovely retirement village and are really enjoying life and our fellow residents here.  We do quite a bit of volunteer driving of the big village bus to take people to the shops, and the 4-seater gulf buggy that drives people around the village wherever they want to go.  Our children and grandchildren are all well and happy.  We've also been very busy with our miniature making.  I really should upload a couple of photos

 back my friend May. I was really worried because you were gone for sooooo long. I had no idea what had happened to you. I am so very happy you are back. Sorry for the loss of David's mom  and now his father with the broken hip. Hopefully he will recover soon. Wow that is really nice that you have found a happy place to live and are so very useful to help others that is wonderful news. I will check out your mini's a bit later after I go through all my messages. Most of all I am very very you came back to us

Doing so well that we have retired and are now living in Portugal. It has been 4 months so far but it seems that it is one of the best decisions of my life. Love to you and David. I will drop you a note or an email just to catch up a bit.
