Ryou seems to be nothing but your average teen. He likes games and hanging out with his friends and is nothing special really. Well, at first. He is obsessed with RPG games and the occult, often freaking out his friends on accident. He is the host body for a vengeful spirit so that's a downer on him quite often... Because of this his friends aren't too close to him but they're all Ryou has, as he's quite lonely and quiet.
Back Round:
Ryou had lived with his mother, father, and younger sister Amane when he was a child but his mother and sister had unfortunately died in an accident. His father is an archaeologist who is often away from home, leaving Ryou on his own for periods of time. One time his father returned giving Ryou the Millennium Ring, the place where the yami spirit inside him dwells.
Currently, Ryou lives in Domino City, Japan and attends Domino High as a new student. He transferred there as he kept having to move due to the reckless and violent actions the spirit in his body has made him do over the years. The spirit continues, though, to take over the teen's body and use him to get revenge on another lost spirit in their world.
