Hey, I really hope you get on to check this.
Love your sprite sheet, been using it a lot to heavily edit and make my own fantrolls! There's only one issue I hope you could help me with; do you know what the male human kid's eyes look like on the sprite? Every single male human character wears glasses...

That is true, and so we get to take some artistic liberties and design our own male eyes. One common method is to take Jade's eyes and remove the eyelashes, or take Rose's eyes and remove the sparkle and eyeliner. Don't feel too limited by the canon Homestuck stuff. You're free to make your OC however you see fit.

Thank you so much for the feedback, I'll try what you said ^^
And about taking artistic liberties, I do it all the time with my fantrolls! This girl is one of my favorites; (If you don't mind looking. I used your Template as a base, too!)

I like trolls with eyebrows better than trolls without, too. :3
And look, no Mary-Sue bullshit!
Sorry for the long, rambly comment, mine always ramble on. Β I don't see much of an issue taking 'liberties' with the style, I just like to use things that resemble the styleΒ
(unlike those 'troll sprites 2.0' things going around tumblr... You'd know what I'm talking about)

I would actually have no idea what you're talking about. I don't really Tumbl anymore.

Just a really stupid thing where they over-detail the trolls to high hell. It's really irritating...
Anyway, I've been playing around with what you said about using Jade and Rose's eyes. The results have been... interesting to say the least, though thanks for the idea!
Side note; any thoughts on the troll I showed ya? It's okay if you're not interested.

Well, I really really like everything below the neck. The eyes seem a little rough, and I think the hair could be a bit more dynamic. In my opinion, big, strong curves and lively shapes will always outshine little spikes and stray hairs. As for the horns, I think you could make some extra effort to blend the the three colors. If you're going to have rougher borders like Tavros's horns, make sure the lines dividing the colors are strong and interweaving. Don't just draw an individual line of pixels and be done with it. The clothes are super smooth and awesome, but I have a question: if the robot foot is exactly the same size as the regular foot, does she really need to roll up her pant leg? Maybe she does, I don't know, it's your character. Food for thought.

(I'd love to keep talking about this if you don't mind)
Hair isn't really my strong point! I wasn't too sure a big, curvy hairstyle would fit her too much as you described and I just flat out couldn't think of a style. Terezi's is rather tame as well.
As for the eyes, I think it's just sort of my take on the style; these are all of the other eyes I've made for my fantrolls

I figured the rounder shape to them would fit her personality. Β The main issue with them is that they're probably not wide enough to match the homestuck style.
Onto horns! I just do the lines for a little extra smidge of detail. Nothing too amazing.
Thanks for all the feedback! ^^

- Terezi's hair IS pretty tame but the shapes in her hair are still very strong and defined.
- Those are some good-looking eyes. You're right that they don't match Homestuck canon but there have been worse problems.
- I guess my problem with the little lines on the horns is that they don't look like they belong there. They look like they were plastered on with a single brush stroke. My personal pet peeve in art is being able to track individual brush strokes. In my humble opinion, every motion of the (digital) brush should fade into every other stroke in order to create a singular cohesive mass. Art!
