I guess I just love how music can speak such volumes when we find ourselves at a loss for words! And I love how sometimes...Music practically becomes a character in it of itself in a story or a movie!

I absolutely love music!  And you're a composer too, eh?  More and more completely awesome.  We can share compositions with each other... and I always love to hear anyone's works, don't worry if you're "amateur!"  Music compositions are worth listening to, and anything that comes from a composer's heart is something incredible.

Music certainly is an amazing medium of artistic expression.  I love it so much and I feel that it can be just as powerful as the fine visual arts or cinema or dance or any other expression out there.  Why I love to explore through all sorts of creative pursuits - creative writing, pencils, and music composition - is because each art form, while so expressive, is also so expressly unique.  As you said, it can express when we're at a loss for words - but I don't feel like music "replaces" words, but expresses thoughts and emotions in ways that words cannot.

Just started listening to your Sound Cloud music!  Sorry for taking a few days to get back.  You've got a great ear for composition and using MIDI sound patches to create good mixes. Especially, on Synth Beat laying down a rhythmically interesting and auditorily appealing ostinato background, and then coupling that with a good contrasting piano foreground, made for an appealing piece.  Melodic Contemplation has another good arpeggiated foundation, and I love your use of inserting in almost-classical strings with the computer generated synth.  So nice work!!!  Wonderful music, fellow fanatic. 

I haven't gotten to your youtube channel but I'll let you know if I get there. 

My music can be found on my website www.kaylastearns.com  under the Concert Music (and the other Music) tabs, and the website's mostly dedicated to the acoustic concert music I've done (though I've definitely done my share of MIDI synthesizing).  I apologize that the audio's not very high quality... No worries, cause the audio on my youTube channel isn't the best quality either. The stuff on my youTube channel is actually me playing it in parts,(electric keyboard - piano, then strings, or guitar).

I am so glad you liked the remixes. It's a really fun thing..to just pour my heart on on zee piano. If I'm having a bad day...I can just sit and play out my emotions...Kinda makes me think of SHERLOCK and his playing the violin to help him process things!

Pouring one's heart out on the piano is the best.  Whenever I'm feeling low myself, I'll just sit down and improvise on the piano.  The music will be depressed and intense but then I'll get so caught up with the music it'll start to get more and more cheerful, until by the end of the improvisation session the music and I are both in a good mood.

Sherlock is a perfect example of why everyone should be a musician.

Hmmm... I don't listen to an extraordinary amount of tv/movie score music... but I have learned quite a few of John Powell's How to Train Your Dragon pieces on pennywhistle if that counts... maybe...
