I'm a coder, not an artist. I'm actually hoping to get permission to use some of the existing icons in my game. Mr. Goblin has been ever so kind to let me use his set.

Can I use the ones that you created here? [link] I'd be happy to give you credit and a link.

A contract. If you plan on making any form of revenue from this, you must first agree to pay commission to any artist involved.

My Base is 5$ US per icon used.
