Really dumb Question:
How.. do you manage to... is draw the right word? The clothing on the ponies?

Well...hmm. I just do?
First I get the general pose sketched out, then after I've got the body positioned how I want, I start drawing the lines that make up the clothes. If I'm trying to replicate a particular costume, I look up a few pics of it on Google and then try and fit it to a pony. Sometimes the outfit needs to be drastically simplified, but usually it works out okay.
