"Wow! How do you get that realistic skin with acrylics?"
Hi! You asked the question above about my portraits...
I do a basic frame of the face in white and black. Then I go over the face with a sloppy stipple technique, dotting in color... I keep the brush a bit more dry, for blending purposes (this allows existing color to show through)
after I have gotten everything well represented, I go over the painting in semi-transparent glazes, so the "top layer" of skin is represented, but you can see the texture and colors underneath.
