But, definitely inspired, probably they've played Poisoned at some point (I mean what Mello/Near fan hasn't played it?)

Yes, poses like that are very common, even among every single visual novel/game out there. You notice similarities in poses among all artwork even, because it's nearly impossible nowadays to draw a pose that hasn't been done before.
And I would never trace someone's work. I find tracing artwork and calling it your own is not even art at all and is very disrespectful towards the artist.
And of course I've played that game before! It's very wonderful, though I'm afraid I didn't get to play all the endings. I could never create something as good, but it did inspire me! As did several other Mello/Near games, fics, artwork, etc.

Guys, as much as I want Infection and as much as I love Akane's work, don't. Her choice was to leave deviantart, and I fully respect her decision. Spamming her fb is terrible thing to do, goddammit. I left deviantart for a long time as well, and I kinda understand why she did that, so just, leave her alone shall we?
