I just "googled" Jay Anacleto and found some pictures. You're right, his art is really impressive, especially one picture I've seen on which he used a pen to shade it. Unfortunately on all colored pictures I've seen he uses digital media, I prefer traditional materials, but there are only a few I could see in that short time. He is really a great artist, I have to look if I can find his comic on amazon.

Most of them are coloured, but I'm sure there are the pencil only ones. His black and white works are too good for the publisher not to cash in on it hehe... He doesn't do the colours himself though, the publisher has colourists to do it for him, he just does the pencils. And yes, his comics are done in the same pencil tonework throughout. Crazy shit.

Mya °-°, I just found some comicbooks by him, it's really tempting to buy one. These would be great reference for learning how to draw realistic... I have to sleep over that xD

Maybe your "too small pictures" problem is that you're putting ur pic in the box below in the browsing (thingie... :/) box. UOr is ur pictures all small when u take 'em through ur scanner?
