There's a KAS chatroom that people use. Dunno if that's the same one you're thinking of. Technically anybody can make a chatroom on here, I think.

You probably need to talk to Ren or SirK about it then. Technically the chat is for KAS members so you probably don't have permission by default.

Say, are you much of a reader of fiction? I stumbled upon an interesting series of books taking place in a fictional city-state called Ambergris. Unlike many fantasy novels, it is not "Tolkienesque" fantasy, but it appears to be in an unspecified world featuring early (l1890s/early 1900s?) human technology in the first book, but by the time the events of the third book take place, human technology is around the 1930s or 1940s or so. However, the books also feature a race of beings called "grey caps" that utilize analogs of human technology by selectively breeding fungi to create fungal guns, spore bombs, security cameras, and so on.
The books talk about the warring political factions of Ambergris, and the civil war that arose behind the conflict between the two major importing corporations that eventually come to control most of the metropolis. However, the grey caps eventually come to play a more prominent role again. The grey caps were the original, non-human inhabitants of the city that the human occupants have driven underground. They take advantage of the human conflicts and rise up out of the ground and eventually come to occupy Ambergris and put it under martial law and slowly start transforming the city and even its inhabitants with their strange fungal biotechnology.

I am indeed a reader! I love a good fiction novel, although I have not read the one you are describing. I will have to check it out!

The books are written by an author by the name of Jeff Vandermeer and are meant to be read as stand-alone books, as they take place in different time periods of Ambergris but they are as follows:
1. City of Saints and Madmen
2. Shriek
3. Finch
I have heard rumors that Vandermeer might be working on a fourth book taking place in Ambergris, but I am not sure how far along he is on it.
