Alien's always going to be my fave (Sigourney Weaver oh my godd), but I also liked Event Horizon, Vanishingon 7th Street, the original Halloween movies, the original Friday the 13th movies, Altered (except for that ending wtf), Cabin in the Woods, Midnight Meat Train, The Shining, not a huge fan of found footage in general but Banshee Chapter was pretty fucking awesome.  Martyrs, Inside/À l'intérieur terrified the shit out of me, The Crazies, Isolation (it has cows and manages to be scary, I might go rewatch this right now now that you mentioned it...), Contagion (it's a little less horror-y than the rest but medical horror scares the shit out of me), like...a bunch others lmao, this turned into a wall of text omg I'm sorry

I'll always have a soft spot for the Grudge, the Ring, and the Final Destination movies -- the first horror movies I managed to watch in a house where nobody else liked them @__@

I saw After and The Babadook on netflix recently too, and they weren't bad.  :0

for real though, high 5 for taste in movie genres haha

see i didnt love Alien? i'm way more new-gen horror
plus alien films in general just don't do it for me
but Alien was a very well-made film for it's time ;u;

ive not seen Event Horizon, is it good?

Cabin in the Woods was alright, i feel like it's a horror most people who like or want to get into horror films should watch? it's a classic in my opinion

I thought the Midnight Meat Train was very good, not amazing but it had a great plot and a lot of gore (which i like)
plus the monsters were very well-made

The Shining is amazing, a classic and Stephen King is a horror god

Now see I dont like the Banshee Chapter, i thought it was boring, but maybe i wasnt paying proper attention. I'll give it a rewatch this weekend because i would like to give it a proper chance ahahha

I've not seen Martrys, Inside, Isolation either, what're they about? ;u;

The Crazies is one of my all-time favorites, it's just a stunning film to be honest ahahha

Is Contagion any good? I actually love medical-horror, especially when it involves zombies, I actually have a whole theory on zombies (im such a nerd), wanna hear? ;u;

No no don't be sorry! If it's about horror films I'm always up for long chats ahahha! That's how I actually got into them, my first real horror films I watched were The Happening and The Mist when I was like 14 and they are both amazing films

Yes omg they have a soft spot with me too, the Saw 1-7 series are my most dear though because again I have a lot of theories about them? a lot of people thing they're just torture-gore with no plot but theres so much more to them than that, you just need to push aside the bad thoughts to see it ;u;

I've been meaning to watch the Babadook, another netflix horror that i thought was VERY good was Jessabell (if thats how you spell it), shes in a wheelchair, its a very new idea, very good ;u;

I also watched Unfriended at the cinema with a friend and OHMYGOD I LOVED IT 9/10, the whole film is set on a computer screen, ive never seen anything like it it was soso good! totally recommend ;D

And yeah, high five~! horrors are amazingggg

oh god, im actually a collector? i have over 100 horror dvds at home and ive watched over double that
heres a little list of some off the top of my head I loved and would recommend<33

-The Saw 1-7 series: a lot of films I know but worth the watch!
-Found: I watched this on holiday and it's not so much horror and...life-changing to be honest, there is gore but it shook me, this film shook me
-A Haunting at Silverdale Falls: based on a true story, ghosty, it's a good film, less gore more interesting? Good film
-The Purge and The Purge Anarchy: these two are just STUNNING films like seriously some of my all-time favs ever!!
-The Tortured: veeerrry gory, but a good film, lots of red herrings
-I Spit on your Grave and I Spit on your Grave 2: HEAVY amounts of rape, theyre revenge films, very gory, they shook me
-Dawn of the Dead: zombies, one of the best zombie films ever, a real classic
-Zombieland: comedy horror, very very good, go watch 10/10
-World War Z: the most well-made horror/zombie film in years, worth a watch for sure!
-The Mist: amazing. just simply amazing.
-The Happening: very interesting storyline, a lot of suicide, very good
-all of the Silent Hill films: they're just so so interesting? the monsters are so well designed too!!!!
-The Conjuring and Annabell: both seriously amazing, based on a true story
