i've been on dA for over a year now, this is just a new account that i started for my more varied art styles. i dabble a lot, but my main passion is photography and my photographic style is nothing like the stuff i'm posting here, so i decided to make a new account.

Nah, never crossed my mind. I use basic techniques anyway. Unless you mean follow tutorials, which I do sometimes.

oh, no i think i better stick with photoshop for now. i'm already taking on more than i'm used to this semester, and working pretty much full time. i'm more familiar with ps, so i think it'd be a better starting point for me and for where i am right now, ya know?

I see what you mean. I just think illustrator is better for lineart. Its a lot more confusing than photoshop though

yeah. i kinda sorta know my way around corel painter x, and i have the program.
but i'm in 2 editing classes this semester, one is ps cs3 and one is cs4, so i'm confused enough with the minute differences in those 2 programs. i don't need to add a third.
maybe i'll take an illustrator class next semester though, i am defo interested in the program.
