I was trying to go for a kinda sleepy/grumpy look since you said he was a grumpy old man 
I actually have another one too that I started before this one, but I knew this one would take longer and I'm still not entirely sure I like the flat angle it's at... Here's a link if you want to see it so far: [link] It's obviously at a really early stage where I just blocked in color for the most part xD I was thinking of maybe extending the bg out a bit to show surroundings, but that'll make the picture pretty big, so I don't know when I'll get the chance to work on it... >u>;
