Eh. I wouldn't say Constraction's end was the sole reason (though a contributing factor). I'm just branching out and developing my art. Wanting to do more original stuff, too.

I use Paint Tool Sai. It's a nice program; there's a lot you can do without things getting complicated.

Hey! I uh, normally I'm just one of those watchers who just checks everything out silently and occasionally leaves a comment, but right now I'm wondering: Since I just use some basic art program that came bundled with my drawing tablet, I've been meaning to switch what program I actually use.

Basically, can I ask what art program you use? And like, what the pros/cons of it are? I'd really like to know.

EDIT: Oh, uh, and is it free?

I use Paint Tool Sai. Pretty sure it's free (can't be sure since I downloaded it from a third party a while back). It's easy to use and gives you the basics of what you need. Makes clean lines, good selection of brushes and different tools. Best part is that you can learn pretty quickly. It's all straight forward.
I think my biggest issue with it is that there is no text. Like, there is no way to type words. If you want to have words, you have to write it on the canvas (though I've been just putting it in photoshop to get text when I need it. Gets around the issue well enough).
So, yeah. I recommend downloading it. It's a very nice program.
