Thanks for the llama
I knew a llama once. At least I thought I knew him. I mean, how well can anyone really know anyone, much less a llama. With their air of mystery and thinly veiled contempt. It’s hard. But I digress.
His name was Kevin. But for reasons I will never understand, he would only ever answer to Albert. Identity issues aside, things started out okay. The usual introductory sniffing and sneezing went well, despite his allergies, but then things started going downhill during the ritual licking phase of the pleasantries. We pushed through. And had it not been for the spitting, we might have even been able to make it work, but alas, after just 3 seconds of bittersweet brotherhood, we finally decided to part ways. It’s kind of sad, when you think about it. Spitting seems like such an innocent thing to fight over, but he was pretty adamant that I should stop and that was just never going to happen. We might have overcome that issue, but Kevin, like all llamas, was very competitive. First came the stench competitions. Then it was belching contests. And lastly, a painstaking count to see which one was hairier. You can clearly see why our relationship was doomed. The poor fellow was a bit of a sore loser.
So he snuck out, taking with him a failed friendship, an obliviously optimistic dread of the future, and my sixth favorite toothbrush. Now that he is gone, I can honestly say, it's for the best. He was too much of a chick magnet anyway and who needs that poultry drama?

Ms. Jetzero, I have been a longtime admirer of your work. I remember your renditions of the 4 guardians in the X-Series Style as well as your masterful and hardcore depiction of X's CM ultimate armor, both of which were hosted on Red Draco's Mechadrake website.
I see that you are a fan of Red from Megaman X7.
I was wondering, have you ever given thought to drawing a picture of Red standing in front of all of his men like in that scene in the game where Sigma is standing in front of the brainwashed Red Alert members as seen here?

Basically replace Sigma with Red and make the image more optimistic like they are ready to take on the world, Red Alert in its prime.
It would be nice to see and I think you have the skills to pull it off.

I'm flattered that you like my art! Yeah, those oldish X-style MMZ Guardian pics are still nice to look at in my opinion, those designs are not like what I have seen elsewhere. I miss Mechadrake Assemblies being updated. Site is still up, thankfully, but I don't think any attention is being given to it anymore.
I get some comments on the Command Mission Ultimate Armor pics from time to time. I think they were some of the earliest fan art works of those armors on the web; at the time it was hard finding a reference for them that's not a screen capture from the game, which is the main reason why I made those pieces. I'm glad you like them. I wish Capcom would release some official art so we can see if we fans got it right! Not even the Complete Works books have any art of them.
Ahhh, that is a wonderful fan art suggestion! I should note that down and add it to the list of things to draw. I don't have the time to make a lot of fan art anymore, seeing as I'm trying to sell my art I have to stick to my own designs now. But it is more fun to make fan art, and I do plan on revisit Mega Man in the future. I do feel I can pull an image like this off, but it would take a lot of time and effort with all the characters involved.

yeah I remember the glory days of Mechadrake. Not only was it THE never center of MMX fan art back in the day, but Red Draco was one of the earliest to give a spin on what is now the defunct “cataclysm” theory with her masterpiece fan fic “Bass is not a Fish.” She was a master of creative speculation on the characters, especially when one considers the fact that she was writing fanfics when we knew NOTHING about lore beyond the little pieces that came from X1-3.
As for Red, he has been my favorite character in the series for a while now.
He’s like Yondu Odatta from Guardians of the Galaxy.
both were leaders of a ragtag band of outlaws
both adopted a son who used pistols for weapons and ran away from them
both moved heaven and earth to get said sons back
both were men with moral streaks but broke their codes of honor
one can almost picture Red saying Yondu’s parting words to Axl
”he may have been your father boy. But he wasn’t your daddy. I’m sorry I didn’t do none of it right. I’m damn lucky you’re my boy!”
it it would be awesome to see Red Alert in their prime.

Good to see that I'm still getting some redirects from Red Draco's site; she has done a lot of cool stuff and I still aspire to make art for her characters. haven't done it in a while, but I have some in the works. I feel the work I have done for her are some of the best hand made art I have done to date.
I agree about the Mega Man games, they were goodies. I found them the right mix of challenge, art direction, and gameplay factors. The music direction was on point for a lot of the entries too. I think these combining attributes are what make them an artistic inspiration for me.
Thank you for your interest in my work. It's been a horrible year for art for me. I hope I can somehow turn this around and find a good flow to make more product. I hope I do not disappoint.
