oh hey, sorry i never got back to you, i'm always forgetting to check the comments on my profile...

i wouldn't really consider myself an expert when it comes to scanning things, all i've ever done is mess with the brightness and contrast, to get rid of the mess in the background, though that often takes away from the actual picture...

as far as inking is concerned, basically, just get yourself some good fine liner pens, you can get them in any art shop. then you just go over the pencil drawings, that can be outlining, or using different techniques to represent light and shade, and the like

sorry if this sounds like a load of gibberish, i'm not good at explaining things...
