The young boys in Pinocchio who went to pleasure island and misbehaved eventually started to turn into donkeys... kindof a traumatic thing to see as i kid I found. But been kinda interested in it since...

The worst part is, they were then forced to work in coal mines for the rest of their shortened lives (donkeys live only 20 years I think).
