I may have asked you this before, but what kind of watercolors do you use?
I'm needing to buy a new set soon.

Ah I'm absolutely in love with the paints I've been using this past year.
I've really enjoyed creating my own palette mix for a while now too.
Quick note: I know these sorts of things can be pretty pricey sometimes :/ but I generally took it slow and found it to be pretty worth it!

www.dickblick.com/products/sch⦠I think this is one of my favorite tools I've owned. Schmincke palette tin for 24 Half or 12 Full Pans.
As for the actual colors, I use a mix mostly of paints from Daniel Smith, Winsor & Newton, and Holbein Artists' watercolor and a little of their gouache.
I think my most used colors at the moment would be Daniel Smith 'New Gamboge', 'Quinacridone Gold', and 'Neutral Tint'; the Holbein 'Vandyke Brown' and 'payne's Grey'; and the Winsor 'Ivory Black' and 'Permanent Sap Green'. Out of all thESe my favorites are by far the 'Ivory Black', 'New Gamboge', 'Neutral Tint', and 'Permanent Sap Green'.
My all time favorite and most used gouache (by Holbein) are probably 'Permanent White' and 'Burnt Sienna'.
