well, you can do it your way. i like ppl with voices
the assignment is to make a stillife... actually i should paint one. but i don't feel like painting at the moment,, i jus finished one and it sucked... and besides.. my painttube exploded in my hand,,, on my bag... so i don't trust them anymore ^^

either you can take a picture of something alive, that's obviously 'frozen'. put it in a contrasting environment. very busy one....

or make a photo of something dead... an object that obviously doesn't move (nor ever has)
but try to find an object with some aura.. you know what i mean?
like it doens't care in the slightest what happens to the world...

well.. hard to explain....
but try to give the environment and the object/thing/person/whatever a big contrast between them
and you MUST still be able to call it a stillife in some way ofcourse

if you have other ideas,,, great!
try untill you're satisfied ^^

Well, "Beneath The Moonlight" had me nearly in tears for all it's gentleness and love, and "Buttercups Amongst a Minefield" had me a little confused at first, but then after reading it a 2nd time it felt like a small piece of hope in a hopeless world. Does that make sense?

Yeh "Beneath The Moonlight" was written as a romantic piece for Kate , jus kinda combining my love of the night with my love of her

And "Buttercups Amongst a Minefield" is actually my favourite piece i've written. It's based on personal feelings compared to a lot of my work which is based around interetsing ideas or sets itself into the persona of someone else.

Ppl seem quite confused about its meaning, to me it makes perfect sense

At first bcoz of the persoanl nature i didn't really want to discuss the meaning behind it in case it hurt ppl's feelings

But basically its about doubt, and feeling that something (such as love) may not in fact last forever. Its the idea that from the start of things you have feared the possibility of an end, but yet amongst all that, even if things did fall apart you'd still love them because that's something you can never change.

"Buttercups Amongst a Minefield" is one of the most realistic love writings I have ever read. Most couples wish to never deal with the possibility of a temporary love. Everyone is so infatuated with the idea of forever, that the opposite almost becomes a fear.
