Oh Gods, that is such an awesome film it's no joke.  It was like when we went to see The Dark Knight, or Inception - a perfect two hour reminder of how totally amazing the whole cinematic experience can be, and a definitive example of perfect escapist cinema with SO MUCH going on below the surface.  Not just my fave movie this year but one of the THE BEST I've seen this decade.

Now the only one that can possibly defeat it is the new Star Wars ...

Once I've finished writing something I like to take a month off from it and do other things so I can come back to it fresh - when you're thrashing out really hard on something you can get a bit sick of it after a while, so a bit of time away can be a good thing.

I think that is a great idea.  I feel like you can get too close to it and not see what is wrong if you don't take time off.  I've started to just reread mine and so far I can see lots of mistakes.  Not bad things, just I need to show not tell... lol To me it was a rough draft which is just the framework of the house.  Now I'm starting to look at the beams for the wall to make sure the doors don't hit the toilet and so on,

Thanks.  I'm reading right now.  I see a lot of things other then typos.  I know the 1st chapter needs a lot of help...I also need to get into descriptions, showing and not telling.  However I still love my characters and the plot had gotten me already, and yes I know what is going to happen but still.

Openings can be a real minefield - you have to hook the reader and set everything up, establish characters or situation or whatever ... and yeah, exposition is a major pain in the proverbial.  But yes, sounds like you're doing okay.
