To be honest, I think you're doing fine just the way you are; stay true to yourself and your craft, keep on getting better and better with every piece, and don't let other people tell you what you should be doing. You've got something really special, there - whenever you get down about your work, or think that you want to be better like other artists you admire, remember that you have a marvellous talent, and that you can't be like someone else, because each artists' journey is individual.
