Hahaha, yes! I've always thought that in a nonconfic, Izaya would have to be the aggressor. That little flea doesn't have a heart; there's no way he'd feel bad about it. And Shizuo'd be all mentally anguished and messed up and Izaya'd be like 'aaaw, there there' and voila! A brainwashing situation! (Where the hell'd THAT come from?)

Well, noncon pretty much sums up their would-be relationship in my mind. I mean, they are not a romantic or normal couple. AT ALL. Izaya's crazy in a smart and scary way (or who knows, maybe he just sees something the rest of us don't) and Shizuo spends a majority of his time with Izaya throwing the nearest heavy object in an attempt to kill him. Yup. I'd imagine any attempt at a date would end with vending machines in the air and bloodstained clothing.
I mean, I CAN imagine Shizuo topping, if it's in a combat-into-angry-sexy kind of context, but I still see Izaya topping from the bottom. I don't think he'd ever show any weakness to anybody, which is why I hate most uke!Izaya fics and doujinshi, because it turns him into a sobbing, weak wreck that is all teary-eyed and shit during sex.
Though I CAN see Izaya raping Shizuo as uke. Again, topping from the bottom. (Or maybe bottoming from the top, in this case? I feel like Izaya would be on top, and Shizuo would be trapped on the bottom, and the only difference between Izaya being seme would be that he's "taking it", so to speak. Shizuo, being the total virgin you know he is, would probably be helpless just from the sheer pleasure of it.)

I personally see him topping all the time, but yeah, with Izaya holding the reins. I don't think Shizuo's just that kind of person. No matter what he thinks, Shizuo's a huge teddy bear at heart. 
Actually, Izaya raping Shizuo is the only time I can see Izaya topping... For Izzy, it'd be all about the control, not the sex, so Shizuo'd... well, it's not exactly a PLEASANT experience, raping, so I imagine he'd find it hard to perform... Which leads into my FAVORITE kind of story: 'shit hits the fan in the beginning and then comes the recovery.' Hence why I love sobbing Izaya. I don't like it when he's suddenly nice, but I do like it when he's drowning in his own brain. Likewise, I like it when Shizuo is feeling weak, unsure, insecure, and only Izaya can 'bring him back.' (Note quotes.)
