I have a question that I hope doesn't come out rude, because I really just want to know.
Why do you photograph dolls?
Is it because it's both easier and more challenging than using human models? Easier in the sense that you have complete control, but more challenging because the expression doesn't change.

I looked through your gallery and I think it's really crazy how you CAN and DO get different emotions through lighting and angles.

I was hoping you could shed some light on this art style for me, because it interests me.

Good question. I suppose I photograph them because, as you say, you can get so much emotion from what is essentially several chunks of resin. My dolls all have characters which I spend literally years building and developing, so for me, being able to make those characters shine through the physical shell is what it's all about. I use photography to record that process.
