I like your fan arts of VMJ!
They are the best VMJ fan art I've ever seen!

sadly, there is very little of it on dA. Given that it sees like the game was pretty much only released in Japan, Taiwan, and Korea... I wouldn't expect a lot of it. I imagine there must be some great VMJ art on Japanese sites, but they're a little bit harder to navigate and find.

I found some nice VMJ fan arts on Pixiv, but compared to other Nihon Falcom fan arts they are so few.

β This is a fan art site I know and there are some good Vantage Master art works on it = )

Cool, thanks for the link - I'd never seen that before. I was hoping the game might become bit more popular/widespread after its PSP release, but I guess it wasn't to be

Haha, nice to meet you as well.
I used to be a lot more active, but after entering college I just got pretty busy and if you look at my dates of art submission you'll notice that I haven't really uploaded anything consistently over the past few years...
I'll certainly try to draw more though this semester.

I found that it reminded me of everything that depressed me about it, but allowed me to laugh at the same time, so it was pretty cool ^_^ good job!

Yeah, I noticed that afterwards, but I had already left the sarcastic comment. Not exactly sure how this works - does someone just log-in using your account or what?

You've got a great gallery!
Sorry for all the political mishaps lately. I think I've been needing to vent after hearing some of the complete idiots discuss politics at my school. Hope I didn't offend you or anything.

Funnytoss In reply to VanillaAcolytes [2008-10-04 02:16:27 +0000 UTC]
Thanks for the compliment!
I'm not offended in the least - you bring up valid points that are worthy of consideration, and you expressed them well. That's all too rare nowadays...

VanillaAcolytes In reply to Funnytoss [2008-10-04 14:18:49 +0000 UTC]
I agree, it's nice to see people express their points well like you and nonexistant-verities did. Many people at my college have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to politics. I kid you not when I say these are two quotes from an interview in the school newspaper asking students who'd they'd vote for:
"McCain. Obama is the antichrist."
"Obama. McCain just wants revenge on Korea."
These kind of people make me want to hit my head against a wall. And to think they will be a majority of the voting public.

Funnytoss In reply to VanillaAcolytes [2008-10-05 00:36:38 +0000 UTC]
Yeah... that's how I feel when I see sidewalk chalkings supporting candidates, really. "Vote xxx 2008". Why should I? What's the rationale? Obviously that's a limitation of the format, but I feel as if substance isn't being emphasized enough.

VanillaAcolytes In reply to Funnytoss [2008-10-05 19:41:05 +0000 UTC]
It's all become more of a popularity contest than an election really. I don't even think people know what the candiate they support even believes in. People are so influenced by the media biases that they pay no attention to platforms of the canidates.

Funnytoss In reply to VanillaAcolytes [2008-10-05 21:33:49 +0000 UTC]
Yeah... which is why talks and discussions about the issues and candidates works better in my opinion than things like chalkings or "debates".

I hope you don't think I'm a stalker, since we haven't really talked lately, but I didn't know you liked Yann Tiersen! I've only heard one CD he did, which was the Amelie soundtrack, but that is one of my favourite CDs ever <3
π: 0 β©: 1
Funnytoss In reply to RedWingsFanatic [2008-09-24 03:12:39 +0000 UTC]
Haha, I don't think of you as a stalker, just someone who likes to talk. You can still chat with me on AIM if you want - though I'm often AFK because of schoolwork or whatever.
But yeah, Yann Tiersen definitely has great stuff - I first learned about his stuff through doing dance in high school - a lot of students liked to use his stuff as background music and what not. You should look for the C'etait ici soundtrack - it's a live performance, with some stuff from Amelie.

I think I read about that somewhere when I was looking at stuff from the movie, actually! I will check it out, though! May I ask what kind of dancing you did? I have a few friends interested in dance, and I always thought ballet was really cool
And lmao! I have been told I talk a lot <3

Funnytoss In reply to RedWingsFanatic [2008-09-26 18:35:10 +0000 UTC]
I've done ballet before, contemporary style. My high school put on a mini-production of "Cats", so that's my most memorable memory. (Well, that was redundant)
I haven't done ballet since graduating though - it's just too tough for me.
π: 0 β©: 1
RedWingsFanatic In reply to Funnytoss [2008-09-26 20:45:45 +0000 UTC]
Haha. That was a cool sentence, 'most memorable memory.' It could be a tongue twister! That's still more ballet than I have ever done. What were you in 'Cats'?

Funnytoss In reply to RedWingsFanatic [2008-09-27 02:45:48 +0000 UTC]
We didn't have consistent roles throughout the entire thing, partly because we didn't do the entire show. But some parts I did were Munkustrap and the Rum Tum Tugger.

RedWingsFanatic In reply to Funnytoss [2008-09-28 03:17:26 +0000 UTC]
Weird names. Haha, I don't know anything about Cats, except there's a character named Mr. Mistoffelees, a song about him, and the song 'Memory'. There's my extensive knowledge <3 I bet the make-up was cool, though!
π: 0 β©: 1
Funnytoss In reply to RedWingsFanatic [2008-09-28 06:12:34 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, the makeup was indeed cool. Unfortunately we couldn't get our costumes to look nearly as awesome as those in the actual musical...
